Radon Testing for Commercial, Industrial, and Residential

Radon Testing

Radon is a naturally-occurring gas that is common at high levels throughout Wyoming. This substance is harmful to people and contributes to the development of lung cancer. People often test their homes for radon, but many people spend as much time in the workplace as their homes, and could be at risk for radon toxicity there too. We offer state-of-the-art active and passive radon testing, which provides real-time, accurate results. Radon testing by a certified professional is recommended for all buildings that people inhabit on a regular basis.

Our licensed and certified inspection team provides reports that comply with Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements. We use only certified laboratories for analysis and testing to make sure that your results are accurate and reliable. Air Quality and Clearance Testing

Air Quality and Clearance Testing

Particulate matter, such as asbestos, mold, or other contaminants, can create hazardous air quality within buildings.  This can be especially concerning when changes are being made to a building and dust is being generated.  Fremont Safety utilizes vacuum-pump air testing equipment to test for indoor air contamination, including animal dander, asbestos, heavy metals, lead, methamphetamine, mold, pollen, and other substances.  We also provide post-abatement and post-mitigation clearance testing, to ensure that conditions have improved and are safe after work has been performed.

Mold Inspection for Commercial, Industrial, and Residential

Mold Inspection

Even in the arid climate of Wyoming, mold growth is common in buildings.  Mold can be invisible to the eye, and is often odorless.  It can be found on most surfaces and can cause respiratory or neurologic problems for people who occupy mold-containing buildings.  Mold growth frequently develops after a water leak or flooding has occurred.  If you suspect that mold may be present in your building, our mold inspections utilize infrared imaging, visual inspection, and sampling as indicated.  Mold sampling consists of air testing and/or surface sampling, with analysis of potentially contaminated materials at a certified laboratory.  If your building contains mold and mitigation services have been performed, Fremont Safety can also perform post-mitigation clearance testing to verify that the hazardous condition has been remediated.

Asbestos Consulting and Testing – Commercial and Residential

Asbestos Consulting and Testing

Asbestos is a naturally-occurring compound that was widely used in construction settings prior to 1989.  Asbestos is now known to cause lung cancer and mesothelioma, and is therefore heavily regulated and used much less often.  It is frequently found in older buildings, most commonly in-wall systems, flooring, insulation, plumbing, HVAC systems, roofing, and exterior coverings.  If it is possible that your building contains asbestos, or if you are planning a renovation or demolition, an asbestos inspection can help you identify potential health and financial risks.  If asbestos is identified, there are specific management techniques that our inspection team can advise upon.  These techniques are intended to protect individuals, and to avoid future fines and litigation.  If you need to pursue abatement services for asbestos in your building, Fremont Safety can also provide post-abatement clearance testing to ensure project completion.

Our licensed and certified inspection team provides reports that comply with Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements. Building Inspection for Commercial, Industrial, and Residential

Building Inspection

Our inspection team maintains current licensure, and holds Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association (CCPIA) certification.  All inspections include a comprehensive, top-to-bottom, evaluation of the conditions within the building so that you are aware of any potentially hazardous or expensive concerns. We will inform you of not only large-scale, but also minute and detailed deficiencies or areas of concern, so that you can confidently make decisions regarding your investment. Specific attention is paid to potentially hazardous materials within the electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems of your building.  We also focus on the details of the building’s “envelope,” consisting of the roof, siding, and foundation, to identify moisture intrusion or areas of structural/material inconsistency.  All risk assessment and identified safety considerations, construction flaws, or building irregularities are included in the inspection report. Inspections and reports can be customized to your specific property and its setting.  If any potentially hazardous materials are identified at the inspection site, your inspector will consult with you regarding any recommended further environmental testing.
